Whee another winning day. Not a huge number of hands, but I got bored after an hour of micro stakes grinding. Its pretty much ABC poker. Fold the crap, raise up the good stuff. No tricks, no bluffs, just solid poker. Did well early on, then got cold decked and just folded a lot of hands. Started to loose focus, so it is time to quit.

Played 74 hands in one session. $1.89
First table I played at I only got in like 9 hands and then it fell apart, typical for a weekend and for these micro stakes. Tables don’t seem to last long. Second table was much better. Got someones stack with this hand:

Somewhat of a risky raise from the BB. My standard raise is 4xBB+1/limper. However I was going to have to play this out of position on the flop so my hope was to take it down right here. UTG called me.
Flop came and put me on a flush draw. I c-bet since was was the pre-flop raiser and really wanted to take this down. What I accomplished was getting re-raised. It was a min-raise. I’m getting a little better than 4 to 1 pot odds, and my draw is about 4 to 1 to come in, I call.
Turn card was a blank, and he fired a bet…but it was horrible. 1/3 of the pot? I’m still getting better than 4 to 1 to draw, same as the flop. So I call.
River is my miracle card; my flush comes in. I also got the remainder of his stack. I did a check figuring he’d bet into me and I’d raise him up. He shoved instead, easy call. Yeah I kind of sucked out on him, but the guy was giving me EXACTLY the pot odds I needed to call the whole way. If he had pounded out a $1 bet on the turn I probably would have folded. As it was, his weak betting allowed me to continue playing and hit my flush.
